Abstract

An optical closure study of ethylene flame soot by combing the two spectroscopic techniques of laser-induced incandescence (LII) and cavity ring-down (CRD) is presented here. Mie theory based calculations and laboratory measurements of the extinction coefficient were in good agreement.
