Enhanced Blind Modulation Format Identification in Stokes Space Utilizing Adaptive Clustering Algorithm

Abstract

A Stokes-space based modulation format identification technique is proposed for coherent optical receivers using adaptive clustering algorithms. Successful identification can be realized among five different modulation formats in dual-polarization optical fiber systems.
