Abstract

This work presents the nonlinear optical properties of colloidal quantum dots (CQDs). The CQDs dispersions show excellent saturable absorption and two-photon absorption response. Further, their use as saturable absorbers in a passively Q-switched solid-state laser is demonstrated.
