Multiple-Band OFDM Transmission Exploiting the Frequency Chirping Properties of Silicon Ring-Resonator Modulators

Abstract

The complementarity of the frequency responses of IM-DD channels for positive and negative detunings of ring-resonator modulators, obtained as a result of their chirping properties, is exploited to overcome frequency fading limitations in DD-OFDM systems.
