Coherent Single-Mode Extraction of Agile Frequency Comb via Phase-Locking for Broadband Phase-Continuous Tuning

Abstract

We report on coherent single-mode extraction from an agile frequency comb capable of agilely phase-continuous mode-spacing tuning in a broad spectral bandwidth. The highly selective extraction is achieved by phase-locking a continuous-wave laser to the high-order comb mode, allowing for efficient combining the coherence, agility, and tunability.
