Abstract

We design a SiNx microring resonator with a single Mie scatterer. Both of the simulated and the experimental results confirm that we can obtain the asymmetric backscattering without any mode splitting by the single Mie scatterer. The extinction ratio is close to 3.55 dB at the wavelength of 1553.1 nm in the experiment.
