Performance Analysis of Free Space Optical Communication under Atmospheric Polarization Effect

Abstract

We theoretically and numerically analyze the performance of polarization modulation free space optical communication in the presence of polarization fluctuations of atmosphere. The polarization rotation, polarization-dependent power loss and phase shift effects are all considered.
