A Mathematical simulation of light transmission in multi-layered tissue during infrared neural stimulation

Abstract

A Monte Carlo model has been developed to simulate light transmission in tissue. The maximum temperature increase is 0.1°C, which effectively stimulate and won’t hurt tissue when pulse energy is 25 μJ/mm3, wavelength is 0.185μm.
