Viscoelasticity Measurement Using Laser Speckle Techniques

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Biomechanical properties, such as viscoelasticity are related to the physiological and pathological status of biological tissues. Optical elastography has recently attracted extensive attention due to its high resolution and high sensitivity. Here the progress in viscoelasticity measurement methods based on laser speckle related technique was reviewed. The advantages and limitations of different methods were compared in details.
