Ultrasmall Channel Drop Filter Using Width-Tuned Waveguide on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Slab

Abstract

We propose an ultrasmall channel drop filter using width-tuned waveguide based on photonic crystals. An one-side width-tuned waveguide is introduced to improve the performance of the filter, which is proved by theoretical analysis and simulations.
