Performance Enhancement Techniques Based on CDL-Impaired Multi-Core Fiber Channel Model

Abstract

Multi-core fiber transmission systems are impaired by CDL which limits the optical system capacity. We investigate an optical solution such as the core scrambling in order to mitigate the accumulated CDL and propose a ZF pre-compensation technique as digital solution to enhance the system performance.
