Generation of Wideband Flat-top Optical Frequency Comb with Electro-optic Modulation

Abstract

A flat-top 10 GHz optical frequency comb generated from electro-optic modulated continuous-wave seed is experimentally demonstrated. Combining pulse reshaping technique and nonlinear mixing process, over 1288 tones 10 dB bandwidth of >100 nm are achieved.
