Abstract
We review techniques to approach fiber nonlinear capacity limit over transoceanic distances. Using advanced modulation formats, multi-stage nonlinearity compensation, and broadband optical amplification, we transmitted 71.6Tb/s (hybrid-shaped 56APSK) and 70.3Tb/s (PS-64QAM) over 6,970km.
