Real-time event classification based on Extreme Gradient Boosting in distributed optical fiber sensing

Abstract

We propose a sound event classification system based on phase-sensitive optical time domain reflection. The extreme gradient boosting algorithm is used to classify six kinds of sound signals, and the real-time recognition accuracy is 86.3%.
