Spatially-Resolved Specklegram Sensing System Based on Ring-Core Fiber and Machine Learning Algorithm

Abstract

A proof-of-concept experiment demonstrates the feasibility of a spatially-resolved specklegram sensing system based on ring-core fiber. 99.07% classification accuracy among ten different locations within 50-cm fiber can be achieved using convolutional neural network.
