A Fast Silicon Wavelength Selector for Optical Transceiver

Abstract

We report a silicon wavelength selector circuit consisting of broadband tunable microring filters cascaded with a pin MZI switch, achieving a best-case wavelength selection time of 3 ns over 8 nm of selectable wavelength channels.
