Abstract

This paper will examine a brief history of optical metrology technologies utilized within the aerospace industry. We will identify the unique challenges aerospace industry requirements impose, present a view of the technical trends in the driving requirements, and take a look at the corresponding trends in measurement technology evolutions likely to have a positive impact.
