Abstract

Decorrelation of tip/tilt information is of fundamental importance in imaging and laser propagation through the atmosphere without a cooperative beacon on the target. Applications include laser-guide-star adaptive optics, tracking of fast-moving objects and multi-beam laser communications. We compute gradient-tilt anisoplanatism for the case of spherical-wave propagation. The model is to be validated against experiments over a 110-m path.
