Abstract

This presentation will give a brief overview of the current status of the optics market, and offer a vision for future opportunities. There is limited detailed market data on the optics market, but OSA Industrial Development Associates (OIDA) has made some general estimates through focused research about the market, which will be presented here. It will also point out some key characteristics of the optics market and give some examples of innovation in the market. The vision for the next opportunities will offer some “food for thought” for the panel and audience discussion.
