Remote Heterodyne Reception of OFDM-QPSK as Downlink-Solution for Future Access Networks

Abstract

We demonstrate transmission of 46.5 Gbit/s OFDM-QPSK signals over a distance of 100 km within an optical bandwidth of 25 GHz, and heterodyne detection of the OFDM subcarriers with a remotely supplied local optical oscillator.
