Relevance analysis for texture descriptors in studies of dynamic photoelasticity

Abstract

Analyzing fringe patterns in photoelasticity images is a common process for describing stress concentration zones. Notwithstanding, we show that an unique texture descriptor could be insufficient for describing the ROI texture in dynamic photoelasticity.
