“Lucky Imaging” with Adaptive Optics

Abstract

We present a new hybrid image-sharpening approach, which combines adaptive optics and frame selection. Observations were carried out with the 3-m Shane telescope. The method is shown to perform best when the seeing is poor or when static speckles are the main source of noise.
