Abstract

By photo-elasticity images we can show some features of the deformation and the strain on a plastic film by external condition. This paper presents some preliminary studies of RGB and HSV color spaces analysis for polarized light images of plastic films under tensile deformation. The results obtained show the possibility of using color spaces as a tool for differentiating various phenomena of deformation analyzing plastic films.
