Towards 2 kW, 20 kHz ultrafast thin-disk based regenerative amplifiers

Abstract

We present results of an thin-disk based regenerative amplifier. Record high output powers of 1.9 kW at 20 kHz before compression, with good beam quality and a spectrum supporting < 600 fs, could be achieved.
