All-fiber passively mode-locked picosecond erbium doped fiber laser using a 45°-tilted fiber grating

Abstract

We demonstrate an all-fiber erbium doped fiber laser passively mode-locked using a 45° tilted fiber grating and a fiber Bragg grating in the laser cavity. The laser generates 18ps pulses with output pulse energies ~0.2nJ.
