Method for poling high electro-optical coefficients Sr0.61Ba0.39Nb2O6 crystals: Application to SBN Pockels cells

Abstract

We demonstrate a method to polarize SBN for electro-optic devices. Efficiency and fabrication speed are significantly improved through a total depolarization. The method opens the way to novel SBN-based EO devices and systems.
