Unconventional Broadband Conversion of Infrared Supercontinuum at the Second Harmonic Wavelengths

Abstract

Broadband frequency doubling of an infrared supercontinuum is demonstrated. This unconventional Second Harmonic Generation process is obtained in a PPLN crystal excited along its Z axis, thanks to nonlinear Cerenkov and Raman-Nath interactions.
