Optical-fiber high-resolution LDV for pulsatile blood flows

Abstract

For real-time high-resolution measurement of blood flow velocity, we have developed a new type of laser Doppler velocimeter which has a 150-m long low-loss optical fiber 150 μm in diameter, as shown in Fig. 1.
