Abstract

We propose to use two lamellar gratings in series, both operating in the vicinity of a Wood’s anomaly, to obtain a device so that the doubly diffracted signal intensity is very sensitive to small angular changes in a monochromatic input beam. This device can be used in an active control loop to correct for dynamic angular misalignments.
