Abstract

We have measured laser damage thresholds on a variety of commercially available thin film coatings and bare surfaces at 532, 355, and 248 nm. These efforts were stimulated by the intensified interest in shorter wavelengths for laser fusion research, particularly those of KrF lasers and the second and third harmonics of Nd:glass lasers.
