Abstract

We have conducted a series of interaction experiments at λ = 0.35 μm and intensities between 1013 and 1015 W/cm2 with pulse durations ranging from 100 to 500 psec. In some of these experiments the light scattered back through the focusing lens has been analyzed with spectral and temporal resolution. Furthermore, the amount of specular and backreflected light was measured.
