Tunable lasers for military applications

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Recent developments in primary tunable lasers (such as transition metal lasers) as well as in secondary lasers (such as parametric systems) point to many new military system applications. The results of a recent Army study will be discussed in terms of the laser parameters needed and the most promising means for achieving them.
