A few nanosecond resolution, 10-μm interferometer with 2-D fringe display

Abstract

Sandia is developing distributed plasma sources for plasma-filled ion diodes. The need to experimentally verify theoretical calculations and to establish the operating uniformity of the plasmas was the impetus for developing the optical interferometer described below.
