Abstract

Narrowband injection locking of a XeCI laser for longer than a few tens of nanoseconds is complicated by the gain structure.1 We are operating an XeCI laser with a 400-nsec pulse length and locking over 50% of the output into a narrow bandwidth. The injected signal has a bandwidth of <50 MHz, and Raman scattering experiments using the locked XeCI laser indicate an output bandwidth of <350 MHz.
