Abstract
While the study of transmission of visible and IR radiation through the atmosphere in various types of adverse weather has been undertaken by many investigators, the effect of adverse weather on visual range or contrast transmission has not received much attention. The relation between the visual range l/and the contrast threshold t was defined by Koschmieder1 as.
