Infrared multiphoton excitation of deuterated dodecanes: final product and photolonization mass spectroscopic site selectivity studies

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

CH3(CH2)4(CD2)6CD3 and similar molecules fragment into numerous species following IR multiphoton excitation. The deuterium content of C0–C4 species above statistical/thermal levels suggests but does not imply site selective chemistry.
