Abstract

Up to now, all analyses dealing with intracavity frequency-doubled laser devices are limited by plane wave and small signal approximations. There are few authors who give a full discussion of the operating states and the optimum parameters of a high- conversion efficiency intracavity frequency-doubled laser with either plane wave beam or Gaussian beams. With high-quality nonlinear crystals, for example, KTP,1’ coming into use and the technique of phase matching, it is necessary to investigate the operating states of high-conversion efficiency frequency-doubled lasers for some practical optimum parameters.
