Abstract

High spectral brightness excimer lasers have been used to produce extreme ultraviolet radiation (XUV) either by harmonic generation mechanisms or direct multiquantum excitation of appropriate gain media with recent results indicating that the latter method is superior for the generation of short-wavelength radiation.
