Abstract
Lasers are being employed in microelectronics in a growing number of applications. For most of these applications, the laser is used for its high brightness, high power, or short wavelength. We will describe a number of techniques which rely on the spectral purity and high coherence properties of the laser rather than its brightness or wavelength.
