Abstract

Phase-locked diode laser arrays are being actively pursued for a variety of high power applications including point-to-point communication links, illuminators and pumps for solid state lasers. For many applications, it is desirable to have a single lobe diffraction limited far field pattern. Unfortunately, diode laser arrays typically radiate in a double lobed mode.
