Abstract

Color center lasers are important tunable sources in the near-IR region; their applications range from high-resolution nonlinear spectroscopy to the testing of optical fibers. They have been the subject of intense investigation to improve their performances and tunability; recently in our laboratories a new method was designed to increase the efficiency of the coupling between the pump laser and active medium.1
