Studies on a high-power CO2 laser wriggler for short-wavelength free-etectron lasers

Abstract

The intense and short periodic electromagnetic field obtained by a high-power laser can possibly be used as a wiggler for a short-wavelength free- etectron laser. We are now studying the possibility of using a high-power CO2 laser as such a wiggler.
