Synchronously pumped subpicosecond dye oscillator-amplifier system

Abstract

Operation of tunable subpicosecond dye lasers, pumped by cw mode-locked Nd:YAG lasers, has been demonstrated over a broad wavelength range.1 Amplification of laser pulses to the 1-mJ level is, however, often required for purposes such as subpicosecond ultraviolet pulse generation via nonlinear mixing.
