Abstract

In a multitier classification of molecular energy levels in the vibrational QC of polyatomic molecules the laser is strongly coupled to the molecules via the first tier states. For C2F5Cl, an inhomogeneously broadened small-signal absorption Implied essential decoupling of the first tier states.1 Obviously, the extent of first-tier coupling is governed by the saturation characteristics. We present an analysis of the effect of pulse spectral structure on a study of the absorption characteristics of a molecular system.
