Abstract

The quantum nondestructive measurement of the photon number is currently discussed in connection with the problem of generation of squeezing states in particular amplitude squeezing states. A system for the nondestructive measurement of a photon number using a nonlinear fiber Interferometer has been proposed1 and fabricated.2
