Abstract

Continuous-wave and free-running pulsed Nd:YAG laser has become a common tool in medical operation. The two strongest laser lines (at 1.06 and 1.32 μm) are useful for different medical procedures according to their specific interaction with biological tissue.1 We describe here a pulsed Nd:YAG laser, which is simultaneously operated at both wavelengths, while the intensity ratio I(1.32 μm)/I(1.06 μm) is controllable in a wide dynamic range.
