Abstract

Rapid Improvements in pulsed power technology for e-beams have led to significant Improvements in the performance of e-beam initiated hydrogen fluoride (HF) chemical lasers. High efficiency (226% electrical efficiency, 18.5% chemical efficiency) and high output energy (4.5 kJ) have recently been achieved at relatively tow laser gas pressures.1,2
