Abstract

In recent years organic nonlinear optical materials have been researched energetically because of their excellent potential properties for optical devices. We now draw attention to a second harmonic generation (SHG) device of a diode laser, among many applications. The materials for this device should have at least two important characteristics: large second-order nonlinear susceptibility as a crystal and a short cutoff wavelength.
