Abstract

Microlenses are used widely for optical communication systems and optical information processing systems. For example, the microlens is applicable to optical pickup, collimating lens, optical fiber coupling, and so on. A micro-Fresnel lens (MFL)1,2 could be most suitable for such purposes3 because of lightness and thinness.
