Abstract
Recently, a blue shift of photocurrent spectra1 and electroabsorption spectra2 in superlattices was reported. The blue shift has been explained in terms of electric field-induced carrier localization (Wannier-Stark carrier localization).3 Here we describe room and low temperature electroabsorption measurements on arrays of individually addressable superlattice electroabsorption modulators based on this effect.
